Cherish Salazar has proudly called Thornton home since 1988. As a mother of two daughters and a grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren, Cherish has a deep commitment to family and community. Her journey of service began with 16 years as a dedicated Girl Scout volunteer, where she first discovered the joy of helping others. This passion grew into a broader role as a community leader, advocating for meaningful change and improvements within Thornton.

With a strong professional background in early childhood education, Cherish has spent her career nurturing and empowering others. Her work in this field not only shaped her dedication to serving others but also gave her firsthand insight into the importance of strong community support systems.
